Hey all! We are in the process of moving closer to Seattle. So far, we have moved all of our bigs things and most of our little stuff, too. Our things are here but not necessarily put away…yikes!
However, our furniture is set up so I can share a pic of what the huge living room looks like! It’s plenty of space for our future Miss and Mister kitty to frolic through.
I’m trying not to buy cat stuff right now. It’s really, really tough. My Chewy.com and Petco shopping carts are like a mile long.
Hubby was like, “Let’s wait to buy cat stuff till we need it.” He’s onto me, I’d say! He knows my “buy now” finger is getting itchy.
Ok, ok, I’ll wait… a month. But soon this apartment will be primed and ready for kittens!! Merlin and Girl Kitty (we haven’t picked her name yet) will be extremely spoiled and there’s not much (read: nothing) Hubby can do to stop it.
It’s time to reveal my lists of cat sweaters I will choose from for Merlin. (I am in no way affiliated with the shops mentioned in this post).
So far my favorite store, due to their overwhelmingly awesome selection and cool sweater design.
I’m especially in love with the maroon storm-patterned one (very wizard-esque) and of course I’ll need a plaid or two. The black and green or blue patterned shirt will have to wait until Merlin’s eye color sets in.
Sphynx Cat Wear
Another fun shop, SCW has some good-quality, awesome basics.
I especially like the star turtleneck and the grey-and-colored ones (called “juicy fruit,” they come in 4 varieties).
Violet Cat Pet
An Etsy store based in Russia, what stands out to me about this shop is its amazing cat jumpsuit.
I mean, look at how fabulous those are!! Rain or shine, I could bring Merlin everywhere with me knowing he would be warm.
Posh Punk Sphynx
Last but not least, this shop boasts some pretty rockin’ designs, too.
Some of these designs are girly, but I love the darker star design and the Fairisle sweater.
In the end, I know I can’t go wrong. Merlin will be the best dressed gentleman out there!
Hi guys! FINALLY, the day has come; we got to pick out our little naked kitten last night!!
There were two boys and two girls. All of them were so adorable, it was insanely tough to choose.
But eventually my husband and I narrowed it down to a boy, and then got to pick between a seal mink colored one or a lilac/chocolate one. Melissa (the awesome breeder) says it’s hard to tell colors with these “thermal” kittens, meaning that their color may/probably will change as they grow older.
The decision basically just came down to me simply choosing, as neither Ian nor I truly care about color.
Say Hello to mister Merlin, everyone!!
His take-home day (formally known as “gotcha day”) will be sometime in September, after he’s had plenty of time with his mom and siblings. He’s going to be insanely loved and spoiled. I’ve already started planning the sweaters we’ll buy him… stay tuned for that post next!
